Aram Alexanian, circa 1956 from the Ottawa Citizen.

Aram was a comics artist employed by Bell Features in 1940s. A Hamilton native of Armenian heritage he worked on such 'Canadian whites' features as Super Commando, The Black Falcon and Action In The Pacific.

After WW2 was over he went into the family business at Alexanian Carpets and was a world traveller. An article in the Ottawa Citizen (May 1956) says: "Aris L. Alexanian and his son Aram travel all over the world looking for merchandise for their stores in Ottawa and Hamilton.

They visit the teeming bazaars of Iran, Persia, Turkey and India choosing the oriental rugs they sell at Alexanian and Sons Ltd. Fine broadlooms from England, Germany and Belgium, as well as Canadian and American carpeting, are also sought..."

He passed away in the Spring of 1988.
