Oscar Schlienger is one of the overlooked artists of the Canadian comic books. Briefly worked on the Canadian whites for Bell Features' Joke Comics on the features 'Colonel Braggart' and 'Lucky the Unbeatable' beginning in issue #2.

A highly regarded artist, he worked as a creative commercial artist in Montreal and later Toronto. He was also an editorial cartoonist with The Globe and Mail during the war years.
