On Valentine's Day some years ago, Violet Bernstein was violently attacked by a group of male mobsters while walking home from work. Being mute, Violet was unable to call for help. Badly beaten and near death, Violet was visited by the spirit of Lilith who offered her great powers and a chance for revenge against the men who thought them her better. Violet accepted and became: Silent Violet!

Gone was the little Jewish girl who had grown up in the downtown core of Detroit, Michigan. Along with bat-like wings which allowed flight, Lilith had granted Silent Violet telepathic powers and a strange, purple haze to entrance her foes with. She used these abilities, and her connections as a descendant of the infamous Purple Gang to fight street-level crime in and around the Great Lakes area.

When she will turn up next is anyone's guess but... one thing is certain: If someone is committing a crime, she'll beat them PURPLE!
